Dear Ms. Chan, I am glad to talk to you. I always have a question: why can't I do well in English? I really try to work hard, but I don't know why my English is so bad. I think I am lazy sometimes.     I know you work hard. Your English foundation is not very strong. You really need to READ more. Try not to use your electronic dictionary so much.

    Read more and write more!

    You are being compared to Canadian students, so you need to work very hard.

    READ! Read! Read! Don't be lazy!

    Your goal for your essay is to finish it in class.
