5. Why did he explore? What were his reasons for exploration?

He went to explore because he have a goal to finish. He has three reasons of exploration. He was asked to find the New World by the King. The first one is he wanted to make a map of North America. The second one is he wanted find the quickly way to go to Pacific Ocean. The last reason is he wanted to instruction the native people that live in North America to embrace Christianity.He needed to protect the Indians became a reason for his exploration. After he found Quebec, he wanted to make a map of North America. One more reason was he wanted to let the world know more about Canada and the Native People. To promote Christianity was also a reason for his exploration.
